Love Letters : Head and the Heart

You once said you were imbalanced, more in the head than the heart.  

What I realize now is that we are all imbalanced, leaning toward the head or the mind over the heart.

Head and Heart

Masculine and Feminine

Mind and Soul

Yin and Yang

Light and Dark

Sun and Moon

Outward and Inward

Fire and Water

You and Me

It’s all the same.

This world pushes us to the head and teaches us to reject the heart. 

Values strategy and action, while it dismisses intuition and allowing. 

Embraces Jesus while it shuns Mary. 

Union was never about consummating our love. 

It was about being whole within myself. 

It wasn’t about merging with you; it was about merging the two parts of me.

You slid the ring on my finger and said, “Can you feel that?”

“That is the energy of Union.”

We laughed at how long that ring may take to manifest into physical reality.

I didn’t fully understand it then, but I do now. My most beautiful teacher. My lighthouse. Now I realize it was always Myself.
