The Re-Imagined Vision Board

Every January, we are bombarded with ideas for setting goals for the new year. We've been told that creating a vision board is a powerful way to visualize our aspirations and that this creative exercise is supposed to help you clarify what you want in life and remind you of your dreams.

The traditional vision board of yesteryears, where you paste all of your ego's desires on posterboard, is gone, and for good reason! It's time to move away from focusing on manifesting our ego's desires and move towards bringing more gratitude and love into our lives for the year to come. It's time to move towards bringing the Soul's mission to earth. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you craft your re-imagined vision board.

Step 1: Reflect on what love and gratitude mean to you.

Before you start gluing images and words onto your board, take some time to reflect on what love and gratitude mean to you. How would you represent bringing more love, gratitude, and joy into the world? Write down your ideas in specific terms. For instance, instead of saying, "I want to share more love with all," you could say, "I will participate in meatless Mondays."

Step 2: Gather Supplies

You don't need fancy materials to create a vision board. Here's a simple list of supplies:

- A board (corkboard, poster board, or even a digital platform)

- Scissors

- Glue, tape, or pins

- Magazines, printouts, or personal photos

- Markers or stickers for decoration

Step 3: Collect Inspiration

Flip through magazines, search online, or use photos that resonate with your ideas of how you will bring more love and joy in the coming year. Look for images, quotes, and words that evoke love, joy, compassion, and gratitude. Cut out or print these items; don't be afraid to think outside the box—your board should reflect your individuality.

Step 4: Arrange Your Vision Board

Now comes the fun part! Lay out all your collected materials on your board without gluing them down at first. Experiment with different arrangements until it feels right. Once you're happy with the layout, start gluing or pinning everything in place.

Step 5: Add Personal Touches

Add personal touches to make your vision board truly yours. Use markers to write affirmations or motivating messages that inspire you. You can also decorate the edges with stickers, washi tape, or anything else that reflects your personality. This is your space—make it vibrant and full of energy!

Step 6: Display Your Vision Board

Place your vision board somewhere you'll see daily, whether in your bedroom, office or even as your desktop wallpaper. The key is to put it in a spot where it will catch your eye and reinforce your mission regularly.

Creating a vision board is not just a creative outlet—it's a tangible representation of your intentions. By following these steps, you'll have a constant visual reminder of how you want to live your life. Remember, visualization can significantly impact your mindset and help you stay focused on your mission. So, gather your supplies, tap into your creativity, and manifest your Soul's mission today!
